After I had published the first episode of the webinar series Kopfstand/Headstand, some viewers made suggestions on topics that they would find interesting to be covered. Empathy in the workplace was one of them. I also received questions around cultural differences, especially when it comes to inquiring about the wellbeing of others and speaking about personal topics in a business environment.
My dear friend and fellow coach Deborah Campbell and I talk almost every week. We met during our coach training 8 years ago. In the past weeks Deborah and I spoke of course about the Corona crisis, what it means for us and our families, for our businesses, our country, the economy, for managers and employees, society, the world. We spoke about questions that kept us awake at night. And we discussed the questions I received. We had long conversations about empathy and compassion and their importance, especially in today’s situation. This webinar is our joint production “Empathy and Compassion At Work”.
